Weekend in Singapore

Where am I again?

It is yet another short trip to Singapore. I landed at 7.30 pm (Singapore time) on 28th August 2010, and the very first thing that appeared in my mind was F.O.O.D. I do not know how many will agree; for me, Japanese foods does falls under one of the attractions in Singapore. They are simply delicious and fresh.

Two of our favorite restaurants are Sho Teppan at Ion Orchard & Ebisboshi at Bugis Iluma.
Sukiyaki, very generous pork and Wahyu beef portion

It was my brother, who suggested that we should visit the new Universal Studio since he never been to it as well. We went there at around 11 am on Saturday; and it is truly 'hats off' to the American architectures and Singaporean labor. They really know how to maximize such a small space, to build such a spectacular theme park.

The overall experience was truly funny, especially the event was ended with yours truly favorite showcase; THE FIREWORKS.

Things must try when you are at Universal Studio:

The famous Garrett's Popcorn

Hershey's Chocolate Bar

T-shirt we managed to buy as souvenir.

Home Alone

I am home alone again, as hubby was away to Singapore for meeting trip. Unlike his previous 2 trips (first to Oman, and then Turkey) there is slightly different in this trip as I will join him later in the evening...Marvellous. It's also a good chance to hangout with my brother as he just had his first salary increment and being a nice sister, when will be a better time to ask for free food if it is not now? Grin!!

Continue with hubby trip:

My favorite questions whenever hubby called or I called:
Will I get a gift / present? Always the same response from him, "Yes, if only
you have been good". Well, I take it as yes, since I'm always a good girl, at least to my own standard. I just know all my friends will definitely agree with this statement.

What I enjoyed the most when hubby was not around:
I am allow to sleep at whatever time I want, skipping his usual nag of.."Darling., it's late, you  have to work tomorrow " or "...time to sleep. You got to attend class tomorrow".

Thing that I do not enjoy:
Alone, sleeping in a quiet, big, dark room; only surrounded with air-cond, and sometimes water dripping sounds....spooky!!

Now it's 11.30 am, and I just can't resist the excitement that I will be off to Singapore in another few hours..

Additional snapshots for your eyes pleasure, gifts that I manage to collect so far, from being a good girl:
My beloved shawl
Yellow color dress...Yellow color top..and he intend to get me a yellow color shoe..speechless!!
I might say, getting the pictures out from camera alone is quite a dramatic scene as I have misplaced  the cable; the disadvantages of moving house. Shruggss...
It caused me looking up and down; harrasing my colleagues from different departments because I just need the cable. According to them this is  quite ridiculous since I want it like NOW. Nonetheless, I have found a card-reader- 'machine' attached to a colleague's laptop and he is so kindly lend it for my use.

Many ladies out there will definitely recognize this turquoise colored box. It's Tiffany. The ring next to it is Tiffany Somerset and it's simply fabulous!
A girlfriend and I first spotted this when we visited Tiffany boutique months ago. We were just like two little girls who had discovered their favorite Barbie dolls. The story was began when I told my husband (was then boyfriend) about my new discovery.

His response; "Why do you need to spend RM 1, 300 for a silver ring?", and silently I was thinking, "Just like why guys need a BMW". This class of Homo Sapiens; somehow, have their own endless excuses of not understanding us (ladies), but it is just the same way round..gosh. The topic was left un-discussed since we were busy with our wedding preparations too. Some of you might think that I can ask from him as engagement present.
The answer is plain "NO"..firstly it is because I have already made him get me an engagement present on top of our wedding bands. So there is no excuse (yet) for another ring. Secondly, this is supposed to be the friendship ring.

Unfortunately (for hubby), the same topic resurfaced during my usual daily lunch with 2 lady colleagues (Kelly & Kim) as I shared with them how I spotted a few nice cross pendants when I visited Tiffany's website. So happen Kim is looking for one too. Right after I shared the link with them, the common agreement between us it is Truly, Absolutely, Gorgeous. Now, this is what girlfriends are for.....

Next, back to the marvelous lady, together spotted the ring with me...our conversation goes as:

Me                Jaime, Jaime, Jaime! Remember our friendship ring?
Jaime           Oh yes, I still remember...think I can only get it in my dreams...
Me                Hey, just wait for a little while, till I get.....(something I can't
write here) and I promise we will get it ok?
Jaime           You say one. No need your 'official bodyguard' to give approval?
Me                Em..you just have to wait until, you know..
And hey, I did sent you something else too. Faster! Go check your
                    mail box

(Jaime, now fully awake I believe, check on her mail box, and after 1 minute)

Jaime           Don't tempt me!
Me                What to do (giggling evilly). Amazing!! Isnt't it?
Jaime           Those cross designs are very nice
Me                Yeah..droll!!
Jaime           Just let me know when you can buy

And this is exactly how, we girls relate ourselves with Tiffany :)

Additional notes about hubby reactions; if I wanted something badly especially when it is branded  or just for lifestyle purpose:
    a) I have to give a few valid reasons why I need it badly. Justify.
    b) I have to explain why I can't live without it. Justify.
    c) Justify the cost
    d) Any other substitute in case I don't get the one I desire. Explain

Ooolala...I'm turning into someone very good in giving justification in the end.

The blog is born....

Let me see..

I have decided for quite sometime to start my own blog. The determination to start one was very much influenced by multiple nice blogs that I am currently following.

To start a blog, it needs a name.

Was thinking for the whole night and here it goes:
Option 1:
"Discover Life" or "Growing - Yee Cheng's Theory"
One of my close friend, Mr. K, he said it sounds like some New Age or Zen
 Buddhism. LOL...next.
Option 2:
Chatted with another friend, Mr. Jelly (I prefer to call him this)
Gave me some ideas such as "Soon Jie" as in "sister soon", "wife to a lawyer" and
many more hilarious names.

So, being (ehem); the naughty me, "The mischievous, vivacious.." definitely suits me well, and the name is kind of sexy too.

And my first blogging experience is born.

Ps: I'm sure hubby will be very pleased with the 'url address', with his name and mine together.
